Church Leadership Series - Book 1

In an era where the church is grappling with transitions, leadership appointments and retirements, a book has been written that provides biblical sanity worthy of great consideration.

"Sons in the House" explores the genius of legacy and successional intelligence by examining a certain quality of relationship that can develop between a father and son in the faith. Jim Shaw uses his own lifetime of humble obedience to the call of God, supported by a wealth of bible knowledge, to systematically build a picture of God's faithfulness to those who are leading His Church through the various seasons of life.

With the real-life story of Manukau New Life Church as the backdrop, Jim uses his relationship with his own father in the faith, David McCracken, forged over 40 years of openness and honesty, to declare this - that succession no longer needs to rely on haphazard selection, the frailty of personality-driven decisions or knee-jerk appointments. It is possible for fathers in the house to raise sons in the house so that the work of God can continue seamlessly. "Sons in the House"may be the most important book you will ever read about church leadership transitions
